Programs of interest to our members are
astrophotography, CCD imaging, photoelectric photometry,
observing lunar and planetary detail, and observing
occultations and eclipses. Several members have traveled
to Canada, Peru, Africa, Thailand and various locations
in the United States to view solar eclipses. Some members,
working for a recognition certificate, search for and
identify the Messier and Herschel lists of deep sky
objects. Other members are active in the construction
of homemade telescopes and accessories.
Here are some of the many images
taken by members of the Racine Astronomical Society.
